$1.1 trillion and counting: Total billings and sales in the App Store ecosystem in 2022

Apple’s App Store ecosystem facilitated $1.1 trillion in developer billings and sales in 2022, as per the report from economists of Analysis Group. The findings indicate significant growth in developer billings and sales, rising by 27% between 2019 and 2020, 27% between 2020 and 2021, and 29% between 2021 and 2022. Small developers saw the most significant success, growing their revenue by 71% between 2020 and 2022. The App Store provides a global distribution platform with more than 195 different local payment methods and 44 currencies across 175 storefronts, benefiting developers worldwide.
